Loving Mom Turns Paralyzed Daughter’s Wheelchair into Cinderella’s Carriage for Halloween

As Halloween drew near, an affectionate mother decided to do something for her lovely daughter. Not wanting her little girl to feel left out on the special occasion, the caring mom used her creative and crafty skills to weave pure magic.

Roslyn Breen lives with her loving family in Comstock Park, Michigan. Her parents, Justin and Tiffany Breen love and cherished her with all their hearts. In a lot of ways, Roslyn was an extraordinary girl.

According to Tiffany, little Roslyn was officially undiagnosed but fell under the umbrella category of Arthrogryposis — a muscular condition characterized by poor muscle tone and locked joints.

Truly Special

Due to her condition, little Roslyn has to use a wheelchair to move around as she can’t walk or stand. But despite everything, Tiffany noted that her beautiful girl lives her best life, making the community a better and worthwhile place.

As Roslyn made her grand entry in her sparkling princess attire, people were awestruck by her captivating presence.

An Excellent Idea

In 2017, the Michigan woman decided to make her little girl feel and look like a princess, so before Halloween came around, she devised a brilliant plan.

Tiffany said she was determined to steal a page from her daughter’s favorite fairytale and weave magic. And that was precisely what the thoughtful mom did.

Springing into Action

Knowing how much Roslyn loved Disney princesses, Tiffany adorned her daughter’s wheelchair, turning it into Cinderella’s carriage for Halloween. The little princess even wore a Cinderella-themed dress and glass slippers.

Tiffany said she got to work, getting crafty and creative to create the gorgeous carriage that glowed in the dark. The loving mom explained that she used ribbon, tinsel, and some lights that worked on a battery to decorate the wheelchair. She also used a few home supplies, hula hoops, and zip ties to help bring the beautiful ride to life.

Riding in Style

As Roslyn made her grand entry in her sparkling princess attire, people were awestruck by her captivating presence. Tiffany revealed:

“I wanted her to draw attention in a positive way. A lot of timess we get stares for different reason (sic).”
She also mentioned that her daughter stole hearts and mesmerized the crowds when she attended the “Zoo Goes Boo” event at John Ball Zoo, Grand Rapids.

A Little Princess

As three-year-old Roslyn enjoyed her carriage ride flaunting her unique style, people cheered her on, applauding the whole time. When Tiffany was asked why she decided to give her daughter’s wheelchair a Cinderella makeover, she replied:

“Roz is forever my little princess. And she loves Disney and princesses, so Cinderella was definitely something we knew she wanted to be.”
Keeping up with the lovely tradition, Tiffany dressed her little daughter as Rapunzel in 2018. Once again, Roslyn’s extravagant outfit and beautifully decorated wheelchair with floating lanterns baffled people, making her feel all the more special.

The Ice Queen

In 2019, the Michigan resident bought her girl a costume that would make her feel and look like an Ice Queen. Tiffany worked hard to turn her daughter’s chair into a magical ice throne, using leftover materials from the last two years’ themes. It took the affectionate mom a week to weave her magic.

When five-year-old Roslyn made her special appearance as Princess Elsa from “Frozen,” she was a force to be reckoned with. Here is what the little princess had to say about her look:

“Mommy made my chair into an ice throne.”

A Worthwhile Experience

Tiffany said she thoroughly enjoyed using her creativity and making little Roslyn feel special and loved. She told Fox News 17:

“People in our neighborhood really enjoy, looking forward to seeing what we have up our sleeve.”

Winning a Title

Tiffany said her daughter’s vibrant spirit and contagious smile make her one-of-a-kind. And we couldn’t agree more.

On November 11, 2018, the proud mom took to Facebook and shared the heartwarming news of Roslyn being crowned “Miss Wheelchair Michigan 2019.” She wrote:

“Thank you to our friends and family that were able to come out! For those that didn’t, Roslyn was her hilarious spunky self and stole the show at moments with her excitement and joy!”

The Online Response
When little Roslyn’s story was shared on social media, it gained traction, attracting netizens’ comments. Let’s take a look at a few of them:
